Hunningtons, A Cautionary Tale

Picture this: you've relocated from Yorkshire to the Sunshine Coast. You've left friends, family and work behind. You're stepping into a brave new world, the adventure of a lifetime. But then the house you wanted (badly) has been sold to someone else and after months of searching you finally, finally get the keys to your new home. Cue the smug smile and key jangling photograph.

However, the smile didn't last long. You see, the aforementioned purchase (romantically called Hunningtons) is a bit of a 'project' let's say. And that's putting it mildly. The roof has holes in it, the windows are rotten and leaking, there's no central heating and the electrics needs to be condemned. Mmmm...maybe not such a good plan after all. And then there's the two wayward divas to add to the mix, the rescue dog and the puppy. Yes, puppy. Who wants the easy life anyway? Turns out, I do. And I'm failing at it. Miserably. Perhaps I'll learn to make more sensible life choices very soon. In the meantime please feel free to share my pain. Please. It will make me feel better if I feel I have a little sympathy from you lovely people out there in cyber space.
I decided I'd share the highs and lows of the house renovations via this website and my insta and facebook pages. I'd love to connect with fellow renovators, mums and fur baby owners. Team work makes the dream work and all that jazz. Signing off for now with Love, Peace and Hope...Wish me luck x
